The San Jose Jazz Festival kicks off in pre-party hip-people fashion Thursday Aug. 6, and with a big ol’ bang on Friday, Aug. 7. A thousand musicians performing on stages across all of Downtown San Jose. If you’ve been before, you know how great it is. If you haven’t, you really owe yourself to cancel everything you’re doing and camp out in San Jo for the weekend. It’ll be better than whatever you’re doing, and cost you $15.

For that horrendously low price you get a full day of live music featuring many of the world’s greatest jazz musicians in one city. For just $30 you get Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

And your beloved jazz-reggae crew ARQ will be playing twice. The first date is (you guessed it) on that hip-crowd Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Naglee Park Garage. Fan-freakin-tastic food and great people. We’d love to see you there.

The second gig is in the festival’s 48-hour Jazz Club, inside the beautiful Theatre on San Pedro Square. We’re really excited to be there. We start at 6 p.m. and the place sounds great and has a fantastic vibe.
